What makes my Pyredoodle puppies so special?
well, let me tell you.
INTENTION - these sweet puppy parents have been carefully selected and paired for the best health, temperament and confirmation as possible. All parents are fully tested and DNA/Genetically tested. They have been cleared of any genetical defects that could hinder their offspring.
ENVIRONMENT - puppies are born in my birthing cabin. This cabin has a birthing room that is set up like a “den” so the momma feels comfortable and as natural as possible. The cabin has 24/7 puppy cameras, HVAC, automatic water bowls and doggy door so mom can come and go as she needs. The sound and movement sensors on the cameras keep me posted on the activity so I can watch from a distance how mom and babies are doing. The cabin is cleaned and sterilized daily with high grade veterinary products to ensure the puppies come into this world as germ free as possible.
TRANSITION - After the birthing process is complete the mom and babies are cleaned up, the bedding is changed and the 5’x7’ room they’re in is converted to a 5’x5’ “whelping” area to secure the puppies. The puppies are held, given pressure point massages and cuddled from day two. This is to desensitize them to touch.
2 WEEKS - STRUCTURED TRANSITION - At 2 weeks of age I remove the whelping box so the puppies are free to move and explore around the 5’x 7’ room. This allows the puppies to sleep in one area and move to the other side to potty. This is a natural process and so important for future crate training. When the puppies are walking and climbing well enough to explore they begin going out the doggie door for outside play time in a small secure yard. They have toys for play time and to stimulate learning. As soon as their eyes open I start individually structured training similar to “Puppy Culture”.
4 WEEKS - FOOD TRAINING - At 4 weeks of age I introduce food and start teaching manners at the “feeding table”. Each puppy is taken individually at first, then I slowly add in the siblings until they are all eating calmly together.
6 WEEKS - TRANSITION - At 6 weeks of age, I take momma out of the whelping area during the day to start the separation process. She goes back with her puppies in the evening and through the night. (I believe this helps the puppy adjust to being without his/her family during the day while you are at work or school.) I also start training the puppies to sit, wait, no bite, leave it and settle. These are 5 essential commands that will help with the transition into their new home.
7 WEEKS - SLEEP TRAINING - At 7 weeks of age the puppies are in individual crates alone during the night, they are away from their mother and siblings but still in the same whelping cabin. They are given a toy to sleep with that smells like mom and siblings (this toy goes home with you and your puppy). I continue training the 5 essential commands.
8 WEEKS - HEALTH EXAM - At 8 weeks old the puppies go for their veterinarian exam. At this time they get an individual thorough exam. Their eyes, ears, nose, throat, mouth, heart, lungs, bone structure, coat, tail, feet, skin and lymph nodes are examined. They get their second vaccines and a fecal check to ensure they are parasite free. I purchase their first flea, tick and Heartworm prevention for you to take home, and they are Microchipped. I continue training the 5 essential commands.
EXPERIENCE - I want you to see your puppy grow - it makes it all the more real that they are joining your family!!! So, be prepared for lots of pictures and videos each week. And if you want to FaceTime your sweet puppy, just let me know and we will set up the appointment!
WELCOME HOME - At 8 1/2 to 9 weeks of age they are able to go to their new families. They get a fresh bath and pamper for the day they meet their forever family! You’ll receive a reusable bag filled with their toy, a bag of their puppy food, veterinarian records, veterinary receipts, microchip registration information, breed information handout, puppy agreement, vaccine booklet and their Heath Certificate signed by an accredited veterinarian.
HEALTH - All puppies are given their 1st and 2nd vaccines, they’re dewormed at 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks of age and come with a genetic health guarantee.
