There will be a “Puppy Pick Up Day” set shortly after the puppies are born, which will be roughly 8 to 9 weeks after they’re born. This should give you plenty of time to make arrangements to pick up your Puppy on the go home date. If you are unable to make that date work, please make arrangements as soon as possible for a date and time convenient for you. I will work with you anyway I can.
**** If your pick up date is more than a week past the set pick up date there is a $25 a day boarding and training fee applied.
** If you would like your puppy to stay past the pickup date for extra in depth training there is a set fee of $450 for a 2 week stay and then each additional week is $250. We can only keep 2 puppies for this in depth training so sign up as soon as possible if you’re interested!
The mother and father of this litter have been genetically tested through Wisdom Health Panel and cleared from any defects associated with this breed along with all genetic defect that could be life threatening. I expect the puppies from this litter to be as healthy as their parents.
Weight Policy: Estimated adult weight is based on parental genetics, previous litters, and my over all experience. However, adult size and weight cannot be guaranteed and may vary due to nutrition, exercise, and overall care once in his/her new home. Estimate adult weight range from about 75 to 125 pounds. Males are typically large larger than females.
Return by Client Policy: If at any time, you are unable to keep your Puppy, you (the buyer) agrees to contact the breeder immediately. The puppy/dog must be returned to the Breeder. The buyer understands that: all transportation and return expenses are the buyers responsibility. No refunds are given. Additional fees may apply if the dog is returned in poor health, unvaccinated, severely matted, improperly trained, or unaltered.
Spay/Neuter Policy: By receiving a puppy from me you promise to have your pet spay around 10-14 months of age or neutered around 12-15 months of age. (If your veterinarian disagrees with my time frame, this can be excused with a written letter from your veterinarian). I highly disagree with waiting any longer than the timeframe I’ve given. These are guardian dogs and they do develop strong protection traits. By age 1 1/2 to 2 years old that trait has fully kicked in and they become territorial. With the testosterone/estrogen levels more prominent this trait can be heightened, which can cause aggression. It’s natural for them to WANT to mate when they come in heat or when a male smells a female in heat, this causes mating frustration and anxiety. There are only two ways to alleviate the issue which is by mating or spay and neuter. The sooner they are spay or neutered, the less likely they will suffer from “anxiety aggression”.
BREEDING policy: NO BREEDING in any form, accidental, natural or artificial insemination, if this does occur you are liable to me in the sum of $20,000.00 per litter***
Vet Visit Policy: The buyer agrees to have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of possession. If pick up occurs on a weekend or holiday, the examination must occur on the next business day within the allowed timeframe. Failure to complete and document this examination will void the general health guarantee. The genetic guarantee will remain in effect.
Refund Policy: If the puppy passes away due to a viral illness within six (6) days of pick up, the breeder will provide a full refund of the purchase price. A refund will only be issued if: a necropsy is performed, and written documentation from a state veterinarian diagnostic laboratory confirms the illness was present prior to transfer and directly attributable to the Breeder.
Genetic Health Policy: your puppy is covered by a two-year, genetic health guarantee against life-threatening hereditary defects. If a licensed veterinarian diagnosis, a qualifying genetic defect within the guaranteed period, the Breeder agrees to refund up to 25% of the original purchase price. The following documentation is required: confirmation that the condition is hereditary and life-threatening. Final determination may be reviewed in consultation with the breeders veterinarian. Because of environmental causes hip/elbow dysplasiaAnd PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy) are specifically excluded from this guarantee.
Communication Policy: The buyer agrees to keep the Breeder updated with current contact information and provide occasional updates and photos throughout the dogs life. The buyer also grants permission for submitted photos to be shared on the breeders website and social media pages. This policy exists to help ensure the lifelong well-being of every Puppy produced by For the Love of Doodles TN.
